ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Supreme Court announced launching evaluation study, initiated by Chief Justice Yahya Afridi, to identify avenues for strategic reforms in the judicial system.
The evaluation, which will span both short and medium-term objectives, will seek input from experts across various fields to address key challenges.
According to the Court's statement, the study will culminate in a reform plan focusing on reducing case backlogs, streamlining procedures, enhancing transparency, and incorporating modern technology.

Additionally, reforms will prioritise cases involving marginalised groups and include corrective measures for high-profile cases.
To ensure an inclusive approach, the Court engaged a broad range of stakeholders, including members of the judiciary, court staff, bar associations, and sectoral experts, to provide feedback and insights into the reform process.
The draft of the strategic plan will be made available for public review and input before its finalization, allowing for broader community involvement and feedback.
