Pakistan
The application assured that the participants would fully comply with legal regulations and SOPs
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has approached the Lahore High Court (LHC) for permission to hold a rally at Minar-e-Pakistan.
Recently, senior vice president of PTI Central Punjab, Akmal Khan Bari, submitted a request to the Deputy Commissioner of Lahore for the permission of rally, but now the party has filed a new application in the LHC.
This application was also filed by Bari, naming the Punjab government and the Deputy Commissioner of Lahore as respondents.
In the petition, PTI stated that October 5 marked the birthday of party founder Imran Khan, and they were requesting permission to hold the rally at Minar-e-Pakistan.
The application assured that the participants would fully comply with legal regulations and SOPs.
It is noteworthy that PTI held a rally at Kahana in Lahore last Saturday, but the event was halted as soon as it was time to conclude, with police shutting off the microphones and lights.
