QUETTA (Dunya News) – Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove on Wednesday announced the arrest of two high-value commanders of the outlawed terrorist outfit the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Addressing a press conference here he said that a terrorist network has been unearthed, which was sponsored by Indian agency RAW, and two of its members Nasrullah alias "Maulvi Mansoor" and Idris alias "Irshad" have been arrested after a difficult operation.

The law enforcement and intelligence agencies conducted a joint operation and arrested terrorist commanders, he said and added that Nasrallah was the head of the defense council of the TTP.

Later, he played a video message of Nasrullah.

In his statement, Nasrullah said that he belonged to Mehsud tribe and had been participating in subversive activities. He joined the TTP when the outfit was founded. Indian agency RAW has been sponsoring terrorist activities in Pakistan.

Nasrullah said in his statement that he fled to Afghanistan when the Operation Zarb-e-Azb was launched and lived in Paktika.

“In these 16 years, I participated in terrorist activities against the security agencies of Pakistan. I participated in several attacks on various posts of Pakistan Army in North Waziristan, Dera Ismail Khan, and inside Pak-Afghan border.

Nasrullah said that at the time of his arrest, he was working as the head of the TTP Defense Commission. He was overseeing all terrorist, financial and economic affairs.

Nasrullah said the TTP commanders have been moving freely in Afghanistan and have been supported by the Indian intelligence agency.

Minister Langove congratulated the intelligence agencies for a successful operation.

He said there should be no doubt that India has been involved in terrorist incidents [in Pakistan]. India has been carrying out terrorism in Pakistan from Afghanistan for 20 years. It has also involved in such activities in Canada and the United States.

The provincial interior minister urged the people of Balochistan to recognize such elements who mislead innocent people into terrorism in the name of Islam. The TTP has also claimed to implement Islamic system in Pakistan.

He stressed the Baloch people to support security forces. Beware of enemies of Pakistan who wanted to plunge Pakistan into chaos though terrorism and thwart their plans, he added.

He lamented that the youth who is misguided by such elements also put their families into harm.
