ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) -  The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday sought reply from both parties on PTI founder and Bushra Bibi's pleas against NAB call-up notices in new inquiry by the anti-corruption watchdog. 

IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri heard the case. Salman Safdar and Usman Riaz appeared in court representing the PTI founder and his wife Bushra Bibi. 

Salman Safdar said all the objections on both appeals raised by the registrar Islamabad High Court had been removed. They contended that PTI founder and Bushra Bibi already serving their sentences awarded to them in Toshakhana case. 

He prayed to the court to stop the NAB from taking any action against his clients. The chief justice remakred that call-up notices had already become ineffective.  

Through these petitions, the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi have requested the court to suspend the NAB summons issued to them till a final decision by the court on the petitions.

 Later, the court, issued notices to both parties and sought reply till next week and adjourned the case.
