ECP writes letters to all provincial commissioners to update and preserve records as well
LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) delivered letters to all provincial commissioners, instructing them to develop the electoral scheme for the upcoming general elections.
As per the Election Commission's direction, the records of the proposed polling stations for the general elections should be updated. To accelerate this process, letters have been dispatched to the four provincial election commissioners.

In light of the ongoing census, there is a dire need to update constituencies and electoral lists. It is compulsory that the polling stations are promptly updated in accordance with the new constituencies.
Additionally, the letter emphasises the immediate preservation of both soft and hard copies of the old lists of polling stations.
The ECP has also urged its provincial formations to complete the task well before the elections are conducted at the given time.
