Bugti denounces Mianwali terror assault
ISLAMABAD (APP) - Caretaker Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti has expressed strong condemnation for the terrorist attack on a police checkpoint in Mianwali.
In a statement released here Sunday, the minister lauded the police officers who courageously prevented the terrorist assault.
“The courageous police officers sent two terrorists to their demise,” remarked Bugti while paing tribute to Haroon Khan, the policeman, who laid down his life fighting the terrorists. He also expressed his solidarity for the bereaved family during this moment of grief.
Bugti asserted that terrorists’ cowardly actions would not diminish their determination. He pointed out that those aiming to disrupt peace and progress in Pakistan were the nation’s adversaries.
The minister underscored that the contributions of police and law enforcement agencies in the battle against terrorism were indelible.
