We’ll fix the economy after getting majority in the parliament, says PML-N leader
LONDON (Dunya News) - Senior PML-N leader and former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that his party had defeated the menace of terrorism and also strengthened the economy.
Talking to media in London, Dar said that the PML-N was the party which resolved the electricity shortfall within its five-year rule.
“There was a time when Pakistan used to face 18-hours load shedding but PML-N tackled this crisis efficiently,” former finance minister said.
He added that terrorism was at its peak in 2013 but the PML-N defeated this menace with the support of army through operations Zarb-e-Azb and Rad-ul-Fasad.
According to Dar, CPEC was a gift to Nawaz Sharif by the Chinese government as the former wanted to strengthen the economy of Pakistan.
“We’ll try to get maximum votes for Nawaz Sharif in next elections as we’ll be able to take difficult decisions to fix economy only after getting majority in the parliament,”
The former finance minister said that PML-N could have formed its own government in 2018 but Nawaz Sharif gave respect to the mandate of PTI.
All the players who conspired against Nawaz Sharif, have been exposed in the shortest period of time. “Fabricated and baseless NAB cases were made against me which have no importance at all,” Dar concluded.
