Multan-Faisalabad motorway construction challenged

The construction of Multan-Faisalabad motorway has been challenged in Lahore High Court.

In a petition, filed in Lahore High Court, it is said that government has been constructing motorway from Multan to Faisalabad with estimated cost of Rs 47 billion amid continuing crisis of Pakistan Railways and gas loadshedding.The government should spend this amount to overcome these crisis instead of constructing a road, the petition said. The petition asked the court should issue stay order against the construction of the road.
