Prime Minister Shahbaz Shareef is expected to make farewell address to the joint session afterwards
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – 15th National Assembly is expected to hold its last sitting today around 2 PM (PST) as Prime Minister Shehbaz Shareef has announced to advice president to dissolve the assembly on Wednesday.
The six point agenda of the session has been issued, including paying gratitude to President of Pakistan Arif Alvi to address the session. The proposal for expressing gratitude remained on every succeeding agenda since the presidential address to national assembly but could not be passed prior to this meeting.
It has been observed that the agenda does not contain any law-making proposal rather only comprise of two attention seeking notices.

Moreover the parliament will also convene a joint session the same day around 5 PM (PST). Two point agenda for the joint session has also been issued. The agenda includes conventional recitation of Quran, Naat-e-Rasool and national anthem.
The meeting will also ponder upon the prevalent national issues of Law and Order, Economic policy, Kashmir and foreign policy. Moreover, China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and awareness on climate change in order to reach a consensus is also included in the agenda.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Shareef is also expected to make farewell address to the joint session as he announced that he would submit a summary for the dissolution of the National Assembly to the president on Wednesday (today).
The move comes as the news of pressure mounting techniques started circulating, the allies are of opinion that prime minister should advise president to dissolve assembly himself as tenure of the incumbent government would end on Aug 14 anyways.

No decision regarding the caretaker prime minister has been taken as mystery still looms about who will get on the driving seat of executive apparatus. However, the sources claim that the consensus has been reached between the government and the opposition, but the ruling party keeps denying any such development.
