PM Shehbaz announces auctioning all Toshakhana gifts to support orphan children

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday announced auctioning all of the gifts worth millions of rupees at Toshakhana and the revenue would be spent for the welfare of orphan children.

“I announce to auction the gifts worth crores of rupees of Toshakhana. By auctioning the gifts, we will donate the money to the orphan girls and boys,” the PM said this while talking to the delegations of PBA, APNS and CPNA. The prime minister said when he came to power, he did not realise the gravity of the situation.

Shehbaz Sharif said whoever makes government must have to put the country back on track.

“The relationship with friendly countries were badly hurt. We have restored the ties within the last 15 months of our tenure,” the PM said.

"Thankfully the state was saved after the IMF programme. If there was no agreement, there would have been lines for medicines and petrol,” the PM added.

He highlighted Pakistan’s destiny had to be changed, debt relief had to be achieved, Council of Common Interests (CCI) had accepted the census by consensus.

“The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has to conduct elections and the elections should be held in the country as soon as possible,” the PM concluded.
