IPP to contest election separately
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) president Aleem Khan on Monday directed party members Noman Langrial and Awn Chaudhry to resign from cabinet.
Mr Khan said the IPP had no relation with the PDM-led government, adding that Mr Langrial and Mr Chaudhry were independent members of the cabinet. “The IPP will contest election separately,” he added.
Earlier, Pir Syedul Hassan Shah and Sheikh Yaqoob called on Mr Khan and discussed political situation and preparations ahead of general elections. “The government should do more to give relief to inflation-stricken people,” he added.
The IPP would fight for people’s rights, he said. “The party will complete its organisation on all levels soon,” he added.
