Ahsan Iqbal said LEAs are collecting evidence to punish PTI chief for damaging national institutions
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said on Monday the PTI chief was the mastermind of the May 9 attacks.
Speaking to a private television channel, he said the PTI chief was found guilty of the crime and the case could be proceeded under the army act. Murad Saeed, he said, was inviting supporters to attack security institutions.
Iqbal said law-enforcement agencies (LEAs) were collecting evidence to punish the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief for damaging national institutions.
In reply to a question about elections, he said the government was not planning to delay the general election.
The minister said the last regime of PTI had made all-out efforts to destroy every institution. He said the coalition government after coming into power had taken steps for protecting Pakistan's economy.
Answering a question about the future plan of the PML-N, he said the party desired to form the next government with a full mandate.
