PTI did everything to bankrupt the country, says Sharjeel Memon

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Sharjeel Inam Memon spoke out on Wednesday, claiming that videos in possession of the government prove the involvement of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporters in the recent acts of vandalism and arson during the May 9 protests.

Addressing a gathering, Ms Memon expressed his disbelief at Imran Khan's statement that PTI supporters were not responsible for the violence. Ms Memon accused PTI of undermining the country's development and intentionally creating chaos.

He went on to criticise Imran Khan for jeopardizing national security and mocked the chief justice's warm reception of Imran Khan, highlighting the alleged disparity in treatment between PTI and PPP leaders in court.

Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon further asserted that PTI had gone to great lengths to financially destabilise the country.

He singled out Ali Zaidi, claiming that the PTI member lacked political expertise, citing his loss in a councilor election followed by his subsequent elevation to the position of Member National Assembly (MNA).

Regarding the recent protests in Sindh, Mr Memon condemned the damage inflicted upon three buses, including the burning of one. He expressed strong determination to bring the culprits to justice through the appropriate legal channels.
