LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday decided to drop the big players in the upcoming Punjab elections.
Shah Mahmood Quraishi, Fawad Chaudhry and Hammad Azhar are likely not to get tickets for Punjab Assembly contests, sources told.
It was informed that the party adopted this significant policy regarding ticket distribution for the upcoming Punjab elections to accommodate young workers. It is said that central leaders will be granted tickets for the National Assembly.
PTI has already finalized the allocation of tickets for 80% of the seats in Punjab, while the fate of Dr Murad Raas, Shabbir Gujjar, and Zaheer Abbas Khokhar remains undecided. It is expected that the party will announce the ticket allocation decisions on Tuesday as the last date for ticket submissions, according to the Election Commission's schedule, is April 19th.
