PM Shehbaz again summons allied parties' meeting on Tuesday
Pakistan
Attendants to discuss political and economic situation
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday once again summoned a meeting of the ruling coalition parties on April 18 (Tuesday).
Sources said that the meeting, called to deliberate on the ongoing political situation, would convene at the Prime Minister's house.
The PM would take partners into confidence over matters going on in the Supreme Court and formulate future strategy for politics and economy.
Earlier, the National Assembly (NA) flouted Supreme Court's (SC) orders as it had approved a summary, sent by the NA Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue, recommending non-provision of funds for elections to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
The issue of allocation of funds for holding elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had become more complicated as the committee sent the summary, presented by federal law minister Azam Nazir Tarar before the NA, to the federal cabinet which, in turn, sent it back to the parliament.
