Reporting unverified findings tantamount to distorting facts, Umar Cheema

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Adviser on Interior and Information Punjab Umar Sarfraz Cheema has made an important statement regarding the Joint Investigation Team (JIT), Dunya News reported on Monday.
Umar Sarfraz Cheema has said that JIT will submit its investigation and forensic report in court soon. He said that reporting on the basis of unverified reports during the investigation was illegal calling it tantamount to distorting facts.
Umar Sarfraz Cheema said that he had informed the media a few days ago about the authentic facts and information found in the investigation so far.
He said that according to the JIT and forensic team reports, three attackers had fired at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and the participants of the long march from different sides.
Cheema said that the weapons of Imran Khan s security guards were cleared in forensic report. He said that instead of media talks Faisal Vawda should appear before JIT which has summoned him twice.
