ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan on Monday strongly condemned an attack on the residence of the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Khartoum, Sudan.
“Such attacks are a violation of international law and the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, 1961 that uphold the respect for diplomatic premises and personnel,” the foreign office said in a press release.
The UAE earlier on Monday said the diplomatic post was attacked by a Sudanese military aircraft, condemning it as a “heinous attack”. The government in Khartoum, which is in the midst of a new push to retake the capital, has previously accused the UAE of supporting the rival paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), with which it has been entangled in war for more than a year.
