Bannu operation will prove coup de grace in war on terror, avows COAS
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir’s Waziristan and SSG Headquarters visit has made it clear that the Bannu operation will prove to be the last nail in the coffin of war against terrorism and the proscribed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is also considering the large number of deaths of terrorists as its biggest loss.
It should be remembered that the Army Chief Gen Syed Asim Munir had visited Waziristan and SSG Headquarters and his visit sent a strong message to the armed forces, masses and terrorists.

Bannu operation will go down as one of the most successful hostage situation operations in history as the operation was completed in the most professional manner and in very patient phases, without the army taking any pressure from the complex environment or any other factor.
The Chief of Army Staff gave a clear statement: “The Pakistan Army is determined to take the battle to the terrorists and to break the nexus with their facilitators, so as to ensure lasting peace.” He saluted the SSG commandos and declared them the proud of the nation.
