Marriyum slams Khan, Shahzad Akbar after Daily Mail apologize
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Minister of Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb on Thursday said that Daily Mail’s apology to Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif is a slap on opponent’s face as no corruption has been proved against him.
Marriyum taking a jibe at Khan said that, “Imran Khan and Shahzad Akbar made false accusations at Sharif family and created political disruption after PTI came into power in 2018.”
The information minister added that Ex-PM Khan and Shahzad Akbar should apologize instead of Daily Mail as they handed over the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) reference to Daily Mail. She said, “The PTI chairman invited David Rose on a talk show and conspired against the PM, by saying that Shehbaz Sharif was involved in embezzlement in the earthquake relief funds.”
The minister further stated that PM Shehbaz dedicated 10 years for Punjab’s development, Imran Khan and Shahzad Akbar made false allegation against him and yet the tabloid could not provide any proofs in the court of law.
The federal minister also said, “A full trial was held against Shehbaz Sharif, afterwards Daily Mail unconditionally apologised for it.
Gladly all PML-N leaders have their heads held high as allegations of corruption against them have proved to be false.”
