WASHINGTON (Dunya News) - US Democratic Senator Chris Van Hollen on Monday said that the claims of former Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan that United States was behind his removal from power are not true, Dunya News reported.
Speaking during the event in the American state of Maryland, Chris Van Halen said that Pakistan s former Prime Minister Imran Khan s statement that the United States had a hand in the overthrow of his government is an allegation that has no truth.
He said that in my view the people of Pakistan need to make those decisions through elections and the United States needs to work with whoever the people of Pakistan choose.
He said that I worked with former Pakistani prime minister on many issues including stronger US-Pakistan relationship but I would say that his claim that US engineered his removal is not true.
