Prohibited funding case: PTI moves IHC against FIA inquiry

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has challenged inquiry launched by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) over prohibited funding case in Islamabad High Court (IHC).

PTI, in its plea argues that the inquiry into the funds is illegal and its leaders are being harassed due to political reasons.

The party has prayed the court to bar officials from conducting raids and arrests of PTI leaders.

It merits mention that the FIA had launched probe into the PTI prohibited funding after the ECP’s findings were announced.

The investigative agency had summoned several senior leaders of PTI including former National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser in connection to the inquiry.
