Maryam expresses views as IHC wraps up contempt case against Imran Khan

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz on Monday while reacting to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) decision to dismiss  the show-cause notice issued to PTI chief Imran Khan for his controversial remarks against female judge said that it is more appropriate to say that "Fitna Khan" has been forgiven.

Taking to Twitter, Maryam penned that "The insult has happened, and it has happened in front of the world. Instead of saying that the case is dismissed, it is more appropriate to say that Fitna Khan has been forgiven."

She further said that "My passport has been returned to me, Alhamdulillah, but do you know that the passport was confiscated for 3 years in this case, which was never filed against me?"

"Due to the fear of my meetings, Imran Khan kept me in custody in the NAB for 3 months and in a death cell in Kot Lakhpat Jail," Maryam added.

Earlier, while reacting to order of LHC to return her passport, Maryam said that her passport was seized for three years even though there was never a case to begin with.

Criticizing the previous PTI-led government, the PML-N leader said that they kept her in illegal custody for "investigation" because they were scared of her public rallies.
