Lahore blast: PM, other political personalities pour in condolences

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan and various other political personalities on Thursday poured in condolences over the loss of precious lives in Lahore blast which tookplace in the area of Anarkali.

According to details, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan condemned the blast at New Anarkali in Lahore. The premier, while taking notice of the explosion, has directed the concerned authorities to arrest the responsible people as soon as possible.

He further extended condolences to the bereaved families of the explosion victims.

Shehbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz condemn blast
President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Mian Shehbaz Sharif expressed sorrow over loss of precious human lives in Lahore blast and said that poor and minors were affected by the blast which is strongly condemnable.

Opposition Leader of National Assembly said that terrorism in Lahore days after an incident in Islamabad is not a good sign for the country.

Shehbaz Sharif also prayed for speedy recovery of the injured.
Maryam Nawaz said that a blast in busiest area of Lahore is very concerning.

Sheikh Rashid Ahmed
Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said in a statement that he strongly condemned the Lahore Anarkali blast. The blast caused great grief over the loss of human lives. Pray for the speedy recovery of the injured. The Punjab government has demanded a report on the Anarkali blast.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari
Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari condemned the bomb blast in Lahore and expressed condolences to the families of the victims.

Punjab government should take immediate steps for better treatment of injured, blast in Anarkali after martyrdom of police officers in Islamabad is worrisome.

Asif Ali Zardari
Former president of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari condemned the blast in Lahore and expressed sympathy, condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for speedy recovery of the injured. He added that three lives were killed in target killing that took place in era Ismail Khan while the terrorism is getting out of control in the country. Imran Khan is incompetent to deal with the crisis situation across the country.

Zardari added that the government should bring the terrorists and planners to the legal proceedings.

Farrukh Habib
Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib strongly condemned the blast in Anarkalli market in Lahore and regretted the loss of precious lives.

In a statement, the minister of state said that an investigation was underway into all aspects of the incident.
Farrukh said that the Punjab government was using all its resources and capabilities for better treatment of the injured.

He prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the martyrs of the blast in eternal peace. He also prayed for early recovery of the injured.

Fawad Chaudhry 
Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry also condemned the loss of human lives. Fawad expressed his condolences to the families of those killed in the blast and prayed for speedy recovery of the injured.

Fazlur Rehman
Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Fazlur Rehman condemned the blast and offered condolences to the families of the victims.

Fazlur Rehman said that he was deeply saddened to hear of the blast in Anarkali Bazaar. The Anarkali blast has exposed the incompetence of the provincial government and administration. Provide blood donations to the injured.

Blast in Lahore s New Anarkali kills two, injures 29
It is pertinent to mention here that earlier today, a time-device blast in Pan Mandi area in New Anarkali bazar of Lahore has killed three people and injured 29 others.

According to details, the rescue teams reached spot of incident and shifted the injured to Mayo Hospital.

Windows of nearby shops and buildings were left shattered by the explosion and motorcycles damaged.

Police said that around 1.5 kilograms of explosives were used in the blast. It was further learnt that the explosives were placed on ground between motorcycles.

Preliminary report said that the blast took place at 1:40pm and razed a building and destroyed eight motorcycles.

Talking to media persons, DIG operations said that police teams are collecting evidence from the place of incident and soon the details of the blast will be confirmed.

Mayo Hospital officials said four people are in critical condition, with the doctors trying to save their lives. The medics have given first aid to other injured people.

Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar took notice of the blast and sought report from Inspector General (IG) Punjab.
