Impossible to end Nawaz Sharif's legal punishment: PM Imran

PM Imran Khan issued a statement on Friday.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday announced that it is impossible to end legal punishment of ex-PM Nawaz Sharif.
The premier gave these remarks in a meeting with senior party representatives to discuss various national and political issues.
In the meeting, Special Assistance to CM KPK Barrister Saif briefed the prime minister about first phase of local government elections in the province.
On the occasion, Imran Khan said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif looted public money and sent it abroad. Court had disqualified him in Panama case and he could not give money trail until today. Public and PTI’s voter both stand with the government, he added.
Earlier today, PM Imran Khan dissolved all the bodies and wings of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) following the party s poor performance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa local government polls. He has formed a 21-member supreme committee to devise strategy for the next local elections.
The first session of the supreme committee chaired by PM Imran was held in Islamabad today to discuss strategy regarding the upcoming elections in KP and Punjab.
The meeting was attended by Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar, Governor Chaudhry Sarwar, Minister for Local Government and Community Development Mian Mahmood-ur-Rasheed, Senator Saifullah Niazi, Amir Kiyani, federal ministers Fawad Chaudhry, Hamamd Azhar and Shafqat Mahmood.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaisar, Defence Minister Pervez Khattak, Federal Minister of Communication and Postal Services Murad Saeed also participated in the session.
The members reviewed the list of candidates contesting for mayor polls in Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, Sargodha, Gujrat and Sialkot.
In a post on social-networking website Twitter, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry informed that consultative meeting of senior PTI leaders will also be held today in Islamabad.
