Pakistan reports 3,239 coronavirus cases, 70 deaths in 24 hours

Pakistan has so far conducted 17,115,272 coronavirus tests.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 70 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,116,886. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 24,783 on Friday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 3,239 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 11,479 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 6,556 in Sindh, 4,730 in KP, 842 in Islamabad, 672 in Azad Kashmir, 335 in Balochistan, and 169 in GB.


Furthermore 417,439 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 377,208 in Punjab, 155,153 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 95,491 in Islamabad, 31,755 in Balochistan, 30,314 in Azad Kashmir and 9,526 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 17,115,272 coronavirus tests and 51,982 in the last 24 hours. 1,002,430 patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,893 patients are in critical condition.
