Govt offers 'foolproof' security to Nawaz Sharif upon return from UK
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The federal government has offered Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo and former Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif foolproof security upon his return to Pakistan from UK.
Talking to a private TV channel, the federal interior minister Sheikh Rashid said that Nawaz Sharif s passport had expired on February 16. If Nawaz Sharif is willing to come to Pakistan, he can get a new passport in 24 hours adding that he is no longer a citizen of Pakistan.
Sheikh Rashid said that Nawaz Sharif will have to surrender upon his return. Nawaz Sharif went to London for medical treatment for 4 weeks. Now it has been proved that Nawaz Sharif was not getting treatment in UK.
On the other hand, Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry said that PML-N leader Mian Nawaz Sharif is involved in corruption worth billions of rupees.
He said that the first option for Nawaz Sharif is to go to Pakistan Embassy, there he will be given temporary documents. While traveling on temporary documents he should return to Pakistan and go back to jail to face cases in the courts.
He said that if Nawaz Sharif goes to appeal, he has no justification that he is ill. Nawaz Sharif is not ill, he will lie again in the British court in review appeal, he can be punished by the British court for lying.
