COAS, wife visit martyred Captain Basit Ali's family, offer Fateha
The army chief reiterated the firm resolve of the armed forces against enemies of Pakistan.
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and his wife on Thursday visited family of martyred Captain Basit Ali at his native village near Haripur.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS prayed for the departed soul and offered Fateha.
While interacting with the family of martyred Captain, Gen Bajwa said that nothing is greater than laying down one s life for defence of the country.
He said that entire nation is proud of the ultimate sacrifices rendered by our national heroes.
The army chief also reiterated the firm resolve of the armed forces against enemies of Pakistan.
Later, the COAS and his wife also visited families of Shaheed (martyr) Captain Affan Masood Khan and Shaheed Lieutenant Muhammad Ukasha Talal in Lahore and prayed for the departed souls and offered Fateha.
General Qamar Javed Bajwa said the nation owed its peace and stability to martyrs who wrote history with their blood.
Corps Commander Lahore, Lieutenant General Muhammad Abdul Aziz was also present on the occasion.
