ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - A special consignment of Chinese coronavirus vaccine of 1.55 million doses has arrived Islamabad airport through a special PIA flight from China.
According to National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the consignment is part of planned contracted quantity purchased from China, which has taken special measures to ensure uninterrupted supply of vaccines to Pakistan.
The forum further said that another consignment of 2-3 Million doses of Chinese vaccines will reach Pakistan next week.
Earlier, Federal Minister for Planning, Development, Reforms and Special Initiatives Asad Umar in a post on social-networking website Twitter, wrote, “Last week June 12-18, more than 23 lac vaccinations were done at a rate of 332,877 per day. This is the highest so far in any week.”
It merits mention that the citizens are irked over the shortage of coronavirus vaccines. The vaccination centers in Sindh are closed today due to unavailability of the doses.
