Pakistan reports 1,771 coronavirus cases, 71 deaths in 24 hours

Pakistan has so far conducted 13,269,214 coronavirus tests

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 71 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 922,824. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 20,850 on Tuesday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 1,771 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths and cases followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 10,039 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,039 in Sindh, 4,079 in KP, 762 in Islamabad, 544 in Azad Kashmir, 280 in Balochistan, and 107 in GB.

Furthermore 340,110 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 318,579 in Sindh, 132,822 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 81,257 in Islamabad, 25,218 in Balochistan, 19,250 in Azad Kashmir and 5,588 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 13,269,214 coronavirus tests and 47,633 in the last 24 hours. 844,638 patients have recovered in the country whereas 3,842 patients are in critical condition.
