Traffic flow restored in most parts of country as govt settles matters with proscribed TLP
Situation has normalized in most parts of country.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Flow of traffic has normalized across the country except Lahore’s Yateem Khana Chowk after government settled matters with the recently proscribed Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP).
As per details, situation is getting back to normal in most party of country as markets and public transport has resumed; however, roads near Lahore’s Yateem Khana Chowk are still closed for traffic due to sit-in by the proscribed religious political party.
Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that the matters with the recently proscribed TLP have been settled after talks and a resolution on expulsion of the French ambassador from Pakistan will be presented in the National Assembly and the cases filed against TLP workers under the Fourth Schedule will be withdrawn.
Sheikh Rashid went on to say that TLP will end sit-ins from across the country including Masjid Rehmatul-lil-Aalameen while talks between the federal government and TLP will continue. He said he will hold a press conference later today or tomorrow to give a detailed briefing.
