KP CM decides to reshuffle cabinet

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - In a major cabinet reshuffle, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has decided to add four more ministers to the cabinet.

Ministers who do not perform well are likely to be removed from ministries. The new ministers will be sworn in on Tuesday.

According to sources, Chief Minister Mahmood Khan and former Minister Atif Khan met Governor Shah Farman at Governor House Peshawar to discuss government issues.

According to the reports, Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has decided in principle to reshuffle the portfolios of the provincial cabinet ministers.

Atif Khan and Shakeel Khan are being reinstated in the provincial cabinet, while Fazal Shakoor and Faisal Amin Gandapur, the brother of Federal Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, are also likely to get ministries.

The four ministers will take oath of office at the Governor House in Peshawar tomorrow. According to sources, there is a possibility of withdrawing the ministry from the non-performing Forest Minister Ishtiaq Urmar, which will be announced before the swearing in of the new ministers.

In addition, Finance Minister Timur Saleem Jhagra is likely to be removed from the Ministry of Health and Atif Khan to become new minster. Similarly, the portfolio of Local Government Minister Akbar Ayub is also being changed.
