Shops, restaurants sealed in Lahore over violation of SOPs

LAHORE (Dunya News) – District Administration has taken action against several businesses for violating coronavirus related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and sealed 13 shops, stores and marriage halls.

According to Assistant Commissioner City, 11 shops were fined a total of 113,500 rupees while four restaurants and three other shops were sealed. Meanwhile AC Shalimar imposed a total fine of Rs113,500 on 11 while six shops were sealed.

On the other hand, Pakistan has reported over 5000 coronavirus cases in last 24 hours with nationwide tally of fatalities from the virus has reached 15,124.

Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 6,793 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,520 in Sindh, 2,519 in KP, 591 in Islamabad, 386 in Azad Kashmir, 212 in Balochistan, and 103 in GB.

Furthermore 267,612 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 267,612 in Punjab, 94,880 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 63,499 in Islamabad, 19,999 in Balochistan, 13,873 in Azad Kashmir and 5,070 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
