Attempts are being made to buy MQM-P members in Sindh: Amin-ul-Haque

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Syed Amin-ul-Haque said that attempts are being made to intimidate and buy MQM-P members in Sindh. MQM and PTI will support each other in the Senate elections.

Talking to media in Islamabad, Amin-ul-Haque said that all political parties should decide Senate tickets on merit adding that the MQM has decided on merit. He said that if MQM and PTI contest the elections together, they can win 5 to 6 seats in Sindh out of 11. There is a good working relationship between the two parties, he added.

Amin-ul-Haque said that MQM supports open ballot to end money and coercion. He said that Yousaf Raza Gillani contacted him and he has already informed Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui about this.

He said that the doors of MQM as a political party are open to all. He said that he has informed Yousaf Raza Gillani that the PPP leadership in Punjab is open-minded but when we look at Qaim Ali Shah and Murad Ali Shah, there are very narrow-minded people.

He said that MQM condemned the arrest of Haleem Adil Sheikh and demands removal of terrorism provisions against opposition leader.
