By-election: Notice issued to Mehmood-ur-Rasheed over code of conduct violation
GUJRANWALA (Dunya News) - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued notice to PTI’s Provincial Minister Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed for violating the code of conduct in today’s by-election.
According to details, the notice was issued to Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed by ECP for violating the code of conduct in the PP-51 Wazirabad by-election.
The Election Commission has sought a reply from Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed within two days. It said that the PTI leader participated in the election campaign despite the ban imposed by ECP.
The notice said that according to the Election Commission Code of Conduct, no minister or sitting member of the Assembly can participate in the election campaign.
