Motorway sections closed as fog blankets parts of Punjab
The Motorway police have advised the drivers to switch on fog lights while driving.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Dense fog has blanketed several cities of Punjab including Lahore on night between Thursday and Friday, badly disrupting the road traffic and paralysing routine life, Dunya News reported.
The thick fog has badly affected the flow of road traffic in several cities of Punjab. According to a Motorway spokesman, the Motorway section from Lahore to Sialkot and Motorway section from Lahore to Samundri (M3) have been closed at for all kind of traffic.
The flow road traffic at the National Highway in several cities in the plain areas of Punjab was also affected as visibility dropped below 20 metres due to dense fog.
The Motorway police have advised the drivers to switch on fog lights while driving at very slow speed as the visibility was dropped to zero due to dense fog. The Motorway police have also requested the people to stay home and avoid unnecessary travelling.
