FM calls upon UN, int’l community to take serious note of atrocities in IIOJK

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has called upon the United Nations and international community to take serious note of atrocities in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing a ceremony in connection with the Kashmir Solidarity Day in Islamabad today, he said India must allow the UN to investigate the grave human rights violations in occupied territory.

The Foreign Minister said people of IIOJK are in extreme misery as India has unleashed a reign of terror against the innocent people, which is a clear violation of UN resolutions.

He said operating under draconian laws with impunity, Indian occupation forces are committing unspeakable atrocities to silence the voice of the Kashmiris and break their will.

Foreign Minister said India s increased ceasefire violations along the Line of Control and the use of cluster ammunition and heavy artillery should end immediately.

He said Pakistan has already shared extensive and irrefutable evidence of India s active planning, promoting, aiding, abetting, financing and executing terrorist activities in Pakistan.
