PM unaware of ground realities, trying to run country by phone: Sirajul Haq

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Leader Jamaat-e-Islami Senator Sirajul Haq has criticized the government, saying that the Prime Minister and his team are unaware of the country’s ground realities and are trying to run it through Twitter and telephones.

Describing the PTI government as anti-people and mafia friendly, he said that Pakistan has become the center of one crisis after another. The Prime Minister saying that inflation has come down is like rubbing salt the wounds of the nation, he should come out of Bani Gala and listen to the plight of the poor public.

Sirajul Haq said that the government has increased the prices of petroleum products for the fifth time under the pressure of the IMF. The rulers know nothing but obedience to the international financial institutions, he added.

He said things like flour, sugar, lentils, ghee and cooking oil are priced out of the reach of 90% of public and our Foreign Minister has high hopes with the new US administration while Indian occupied Kashmir is burning.

The Jamaat-e-Islami leader said the government was failing on both the domestic and foreign fronts. He warned that if the rulers fail to mend their ways and take steps to end inflation and unemployment, they should prepare to pack up and go home.
