WHO donates medical equipment, vehicles worth Rs220 million to Sindh

KARACHI (Dunya News) - The World Health Organization (WHO) has donated medical equipment and vehicles worth Rs220 million to Sindh.

According to details, Mobile vaccination vans, double cabin vehicles, medical equipment are also included in the donation. Meanwhile renovation of 345 vaccination centers in the province has also been started.

WHO Representative in Pakistan Dr. Palitha Mahipala handed over medical equipments and other items at EPI Sindh Headquarters to Sindh Health Minister Dr. Azra Pechoho.

In a speech at EPI Sindh Karachi office, Sindh Health Minister Dr. Azra Pechoho said that the World Health Organization (WHO) has always provided medical facilities and equipment to the people of Sindh.

She also requested the World Health Organization (WHO) to assist the Sindh Health Department in providing vaccines to combat the Coronavirus epidemic, maintaining a cold chain of vaccine and distributing them to the poor across the province.
