Maryam Nawaz led a rally from Gajju Matta to Data Darbar ahead of December 13 rally

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Ahead of Pakistan Democratic Movement’s (PDM) public gathering in Lahore on December 13, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-president Maryam Nawaz led a rally from Gajju Matta to Data Darbar on Thursday.

Maryam Nawaz said that PML-N assembly members have rushed to submit their resignations even though the party is yet to formally ask them to do so. She also said that the same Imran Khan who vowed to not give NRO to opposition has been begging for NRO for the past two days. She was referring to the Prime Minister’s statements showing willingness to negotiate with the opposition as long as the process of accountability remains unaffected.

Earlier in the day, Maryam Nawaz departed from Jati Umrah to lead the rally. She was scheduled to address the workers at four places – starting from Gajju Matta. The rally was culminated at Data Darbar.

Earlier, PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said the party workers are being arrested and Prime Minister Imran Khan along with the Punjab government will be responsible if the activists retaliate.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said Imran Khan used to claim that he will provide container to the opposition to stage protest and the government issues statements on daily basis of not stopping the rally but workers are being detained despite that.

“The government cannot stop the masses and it has already lost the psychological and democratic battle. Pakistan Democratic Movement will definitely hold the scheduled public gathering at Lahore’s Minar-e-Pakistan on December 13.”
