COVID-19: Health advisory recommends ban on mass gatherings, early winter break in schools

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Health Intelligence Advisory has been issued after the second wave of Coronavirus went out of control in the country.

According to details, the advisory has called for a ban on political, religious and wedding ceremonies including early winter break in schools.

The second wave of coronavirus has intensified, according to Health Advisory. In the last six weeks, the rate of coronavirus cases in Pakistan has gone up from 2 to 6 percent. 500 to 2000 cases are coming up every day. Steps should be taken at the national level to prevent coronavirus without disturbing economic activity and lockdown.

The health advisory called for a ban on political, religious and wedding ceremonies. Activities should not be allowed in schools, madras’s, cinemas, theaters and shrines.

In addition, advisory has recommended early winter break in schools, wearing of masks in markets should be made mandatory while heavy fines should be imposed for violations of Coronavirus SOPs.

The advisory proposes to increase the testing rate in high risk areas and to purchase testing kits on a large scale while increasing the efficiency of hospitals.
