Nothing more treacherous than inciting army for rebellion: PM Imran
PM Imran Khan said that this is not an ideological war but to protect the looted money.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday said that former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif criticized the army and Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and what could be more treacherous than asking the army for rebellion.
In an interview with a private TV channel on Thursday, he said that this is not an ideological war but to protect the looted money.
The prime minister said that they attack institutions by sitting in apartments bought with the money stolen from the people of Pakistan, adding, “I will never give them National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) at any cost even if I lose premiership.”
Imran Khan said opposition tried to blackmail government in the pretext of FATF laws, adding that purpose of opposition parties is just to protect looted money.
He reiterated government s firm resolve to continue accountability process in the country.
The prime minister said that the previous governments destroyed the national institutions and large public sector organizations are under heavy debts.
PM Imran said that for the first time in Pakistan those people who could never even think have been jailed, adding that the pickpockets have come together to demand NRO from the government but more evidence were being found against them.
To a question, PM Khan said that in the coming days, the public will know what evidence has been found against them, adding that the government is tracing those were had been financing them.
Regarding Sharif family, the prime minister said that the PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif had gone abroad after lying in the court about his health, adding that the son-in-law of former Punjab CM and PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif is also on the run, while elder Sharif’s sons own billions of rupees property in London.
“British media has also made a documentary on their corruption,” he said and added Nawaz Sharif made cases against PPP co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari and jailed him, while ex-president Gen (r) Pervez Musharraf gave them NRO.
