PM announces 50pc concession for small industries over usage of additional electricity
PM Imran suggested that boosting export sector will surely make Pakistan economically strong.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Tuesday has announced to give fifty percent concession to small industries over usage of additional electricity from November 1, 2020.
While addressing a press conference, the premier has pledged to provide additional power to the small industries on low rates for three years. There will be no peak hour for the industries, he told.
PM Imran suggested that boosting export sector will surely make Pakistan economically strong.
Pakistan has witnessed record sale of cement, cars and motorcycles. However, coronavirus has badly affected service industry as marriage halls, tourism and restaurants were closed for long time period, he added.
Prime Minister said it was unfortunate that our industrial products could not compete with other countries due to expensive electricity as a result of costly power agreements signed by the previous governments.
