Polio vaccine only way to protect children from disability: Asifa Bhutto
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Referring to World Polio Day, Asifa Bhutto Zardari, sister of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, said that polio vaccine is the only way to save children from disability. Polio vaccine will rid the world, including Pakistan, of polio.
In a statement, Asifa Bhutto Zardari said that Pakistan was working hard against polio. She appreciated the Polio Frontline Workers and Lady Health Workers. Polio workers have worked tirelessly to save future generations of Pakistan, she added.
She said that after 306 cases of polio in 2014, there are only 12 cases left in 2018. The last two years have seen another increase in polio cases, we are now among the only two countries in the world where children are infected with polio.
Former President Asif Ali Zardari s daughter said that only polio vaccine will rid Pakistan and the world of polio.
