Danial Pearl murder case: Sindh prosecutor general seeks time from SC for preparation

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday has heard a case pertaining to murder of American journalist Daniel Pearl.

During the proceedings, Sindh prosecutor general sought time for case preparation over which, the court remarked that it will be impossible to compensate if those bearing jail terms turn out to be innocent.

Let it be known that an anti-terrorism court had handed over death sentence to Ahmed Omer Sheikh and life terms to Fahad Naseem, Salman Saqib and Sheikh Adil on July 15, 2002 for abducting Daniel Pearl for ransom and killing him afterwards.

Daniel Pearl was working as the South Asia Bureau Chief of The Wall Street Journal.
