Fire gutted cloth godown in Karachi
Cloth and other valuables worth million of rupees were destroyed by the fire.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Fire erupted at a cloth godown situated in Shershah area of Karachi on Tuesday which spread very quickly and engulfed the entire building of the godown, Dunya News reported.
According to Chief Fire Officer Mubeen Ahmed, a fire broke out in a two-storey warehouse godown spread over an area of 5,000 yards. Firefighters, with the help of eight fire tenders and a snorkel, managed to contain the blaze after a hectic effort of five hours.

Rescue sources said that no casualty was reported in the incident, however, cloth and other valuables worth million of rupees were destroyed by the fire. Rescue sources also informed that the cause of fire is not yet known.
