Hundreds of PPP die-hard workers attend 'Karachi Solidarity' rally

The Sindh Education Minister said that people from all ethnicities were present in the rally.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Demonstrating the political power, hundreds of Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) die-hard workers took to the street on Sunday in what party leaders called "Karachi Solidarity" rally from Ayesha Manzil to the Sadr.

Addressing the rally, Sindh Education Minister and PPP leader Saeed Ghani said that the party has put an end to politics. He said that today s rally was against the people who aim at dividing Sindh."

The provincial minister said that people from all ethnicities were present in the rally.

Speaking on the occasion, Nisar Khuhro said that "Karachi Solidarity" rally is only PPP’s gathering, adding that the rulers would be sleepless when workers of 11 parties took to the street to show power.

He said that the PPP aimed to rehabilitate those trapped under the weight of inflation caused during the incumbent government s tenure.

Meanwhile, pickpockets sneaked into the PPP’s roadshow and stole dozens of mobile phones, wallets and cash from workers during the rally. Workers at the rally s main camp were urged to protect their pockets.

The PPP s rally came after the Sindh government has started imposing what it calls “Mini-smart lockdown” in any residential locality of the city, which witnesses sudden surge in the coronavirus cases. Since then lockdown has been imposed in dozens of places in Karachi to prevent the spread of the COVID-19.
