First priority of new IG to establish law, order in province: CM
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that the first priority of the new IG Inam Ghani should be to establish law and order in the province.
Talking to reporters in the Punjab Assembly, he said that the province was governed by a set of rules and regulations, people come and go but system remains in place. The first priority of the new IG should be to establish law and order in the province.
The Punjab Chief Minister said that there was coordination between the federation and the province regarding the appointment of a new IG. Matters are decided in consultation with the chief executive and the province.
Sardar Usman Buzdar said that whoever is the best for the province, will be appointed. It is not possible for someone to tell us not to appoint an officer to a post, he added.
