ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan on Tuesday has paid a visit to the mass grave of Airblue plane crash victims to mark 10th anniversary of the mishap.

According to details, the minister laid floral wreath at the Yaadgar-e-Shuhada and offered fateha for the eternal peace of the departed souls.

On the occasion, Ghulam Sarwar said that an independent board will be formed to unveil reasons behind such incidents.

On July 28 in the year 2010, 152 people including the crew members and two U.S. citizens were killed as Airblue plane crashed into the Margalla hills in Islamabad.



The Pakistan Airline Pilot Association (PALPA) said that there were no technical issues in the jet and it crashed due to bad weather conditions.



The Airblue jet crash is considered to be the deadliest ever in the history of Pakistan.

Airblue is a private airline based in Karachi which flies within Pakistan and to UAE, Oman and UK.
