Rain turns weather pleasant in Lahore
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Rain in different parts of Lahore on Sunday has turned weather pleasant, Dunya News reported.
The Meteorological Department has indicated the possibility of intermittent rain during the next 24 hours. The minimum temperature in Lahore was recorded at 27 Celsius while the maximum temperature was recorded at 36.
Vice Chairman WASA Sheikh Imtiaz Mahmood urged all the officers to stay in the field in view of the rainy weather. He said that they should visit the disposal stations and ensure the presence of staff there. While reports of rain coming from the control room meteorological department should be conveyed to the field in time.
On the other hand, rains in different parts of the city have also affected the power transmission system. Several areas of the city have lost power due to technical glitches and burning of transformers.
Several areas of Gulshan-e-Ravi, Samanabad, Rajgarh, Davis Road, Haji Park, Sagyan Road, Urdu Bazaar, Nishat Colony, Ahmed Town, Thokar Niaz Baig, Garhi Shahu and Qila Gujar Singh are without power. Prolonged power outages are causing severe distress to the citizens.
