MQM leader rejects report of taking money from Zulfiqar Mirza

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Muhajir Qaumi Movement (MQM) Haqiqi leader Afaq Ahmed has rejected the report of taking money from Zulfiqar Mirza.

Chairman MQM Haqiqi Afaq Ahmed while talking to media said that it was said that Zulfiqar Mirza gave me money, which saddened me as everyone knows that no one can accuse me of this. While talking about Nisar Murai he said that he is a criminal.

Afaq Ahmed said that I was accused of taking Rs2 million to Rs2.5 million. He said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has abused the rights of the people in Karachi and people are not happy with the performance of the Sindh government. I cannot be forced to do something by scaring from the JIT report, he added.

On the other hand, leader of MQM Pakistan Aamir Khan, while talking to the members of the Coordination Committee before the press conference about Afaq Ahmed, claimed that Afaq Ahmed s name was in Nisar Maurai s JIT.

MQM senior deputy convener Aamir Khan said that Zulfiqar Mirza gave cash and weapons to Afaq Ahmed and Afaq will be holding a press conference to clear his name.

Aamir Khan said that he was aware of all these allegations as the money was given to Afaq before his (Aamir) release from the prison.
